The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

We have had some bad weather today in Central Texas. The thunderstorms, the tornadoes and the flooding are hopefully over. I do not think the tornadoes were big or lasted long, but I am sure they did their share of damage. The Brazos Belle ( a floating restraunt that usually docks at the Brazos River) ended up with its first floor under water. The rivers around here are of course running over. The siren for tornadoes went off twice today.

My friend Jack (his rave name is Nthaniel) told me about sites online that allow you to take surveys and make money. Most of the time you can take free surveys. Those do take awhile to build up enough money to withdraw it. I have earned 27.97 on one site that I went ahead and sent to my PayPal card. On that particular site I have an additional 12.95 that I earned. That does not sound like a lot of money, but I have not spent much time on the site. Since I am off work for three months and living off unemployment, this should be a good way to get spending money.

I was off from work yesterday and was seriously considering giving up my current job. I got to thinking did I really want to work six days a week, 10 hours a day. My last job has only laid me off for three months. There is some silly rule that a temp can only work 2000 hours at that job (one year) and then they have to be laid off for three months. I think it is because the company does not want to pay benefits. I get unemployment already and can make it with my first of the month money. Plus, I have been working since July of 2005 without a vacation. My roommate offered to pay the entire electric bill and half of a 88.00 cable bill, while I was laid-off.



Well, I get my pay card in the mail. I call the new temp agency to find out if my first check (which I get Friday. ) will be on the card or in paper form. I get informed that I will not be returning to the worksite. Apparently, I was being noncompliant for getting cut on a box. I think I was the happiest person they have ever told someone something like that. The man on the phone really did not know what to think. I consider it a blessing is disguise. I have been told by three close friends that I need a break from work. Apparently, I am over-worked and extremely cranky/ difficult to deal with these days. I may do a few one day jobs until I go back to my old job, but I doubt if I do anything fulltime. Lets see if this workaholic can enjoy some time off from work.

I got the night shift on my new job and I was glad. Now I am thinking-ok this is going to kill you. I have to work six days a week for the next few weeks- 10 hour shifts. The pay is going to be good , I just hope I do not collaspe in the process. I have been saying for the longest that I needed to go to the gym to tone up. With my new job, I do not need a gym. I am getting all the exercise I need plus some.
